Our Chief Financial Officer, Bhavesh Mistry, is the Board Director responsible for sustainability. Our Chief Operating Officer, David Walker, leads delivery of our 2030 Sustainability Strategy and chairs our Sustainability Committee.
Our Board ESG Committee seeks to ensure the Company is a first-class employer that builds and manages first-class buildings for its communities and occupiers and delivers this in a sustainable way.
Our ESG Committee was set up in 2019 to assist the Board in overseeing its engagement with employees and other stakeholders and to monitor the Company’s wider contribution to society and the environment. The Committee is also responsible for workforce engagement.
Chaired by Non-Executive Director Alastair Hughes, our ESG Committee is composed solely of independent Non-Executive Directors. Members of the senior management team are invited to attend each Committee meeting. The Committee meets at least three times a year.

Our Sustainability Committee focuses on monitoring progress towards our 2030 Sustainability Strategy, as well as monitoring and responding to emerging risks and regulation.
Our Sustainability Committee is an Executive level Committee to reflect its responsibilities and ensure thorough accountability.
It is chaired by our Chief Operating Officer, David Walker. Formal members include the Chief Financial Officer, Head of Developments, Head of Real Estate and Joint Head of Canada Water & Head of Residential. It is attended by several members of our Leadership Team, who are responsible for delivering the Sustainability Strategy in their area of the business.
Our Sustainability Committee meets at least three times a year and reports to our Board ESG Committee.
Our Social Impact Committee, which meets quarterly, approves all expenditure from our Social Impact Fund.
It comprises people from across the business and is overseen by our ESG Committee.
Our community investment is guided by our Local Charter, working with local partners to make a lasting positive difference:
- Supporting educational initiatives for local people.
- Supporting local training and jobs.
- Providing affordable space.
